History of Changes to DTD
This section describes and chronologs the changes made to the DTD.
Version: 0.1 (28/3/2004)
- This initial version of the DTD was created from the Dekker Article DTD
and modified to remove support for document types other than Journal articles, and enhanced to
support additional features found in the Taylor & Francis US DTD and the NCBI DTD.
Version: 0.2 (7/5/2004)
- Changed names of entities files and references from "Dekker" to "TandF"
- Added <terminology> element (used in place of <term> outside of definitions lists)
- Added specissuetitle attribute to <meta> element
- Added filename to <graphic> and media objects (removed from graphic attributes group)
- Removed redundant NOTATIONs
- Removed <toc> element
- Removed <syndication> element
- Removed productcode attribute from section attributes group

- Updated common character entity sets to ISO and MathML entity sets from W3C "XML Entity Definitions for Characters, W3C Recommendation 01 April 2010".
- Updated TandF extended character entity sets to remove duplicates, assign Unicode values where possible, and add new entities for frequently-used characters.
- Updated documentation of Characters Allowed to reflect the updated entity sets, and to allow use of Unicode character entities when necessary.
